A Conversation with Diane von Furstenburg - Event Planner

Cayla oversaw and executed all aspects of the event itinerary from start to finish: managing technical support, facilities crew, security detail, space setup, catering, and volunteer staff.  Designed and compiled press materials including posters, releases, and event programs.  Collaborated with numerous administrators and vendors to build successful team structures and delegate tasks.  Liaised directly with DVF's public relations and appearances team, and finally welcomed Diane and her staff to campus on the day of the event.

This conversation between Diane von Furstenberg, the celebrated fashion designer and chair of the Council of Fashion Designer of America (CFDA), and Professor Hazel Clark, Research Chair of Fashion at Parsons, marked 40 years of the wrap dress and discussed the ways in which American fashion design has changed since 1974 as well as the past and future of this singular look.

Character. Intelligence. Strength. Style. That makes beauty.
